How Aluminium Innovation Valley handles personal data on this website, and what rights you have.
This policy explains what personal data Aluminium Innovation Valley collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can: the website has no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Aluminium Innovation Valley (AIV) is an industry network of companies in and around the aluminium industry in Sunndal, Norway. AIV is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. The network’s project management is provided by Sunndal Næringsselskap (SUNS), which handles questions about personal data on AIV’s behalf.
Contact: Vebjørn Bergem Sørheim, Project Manager, Sunndal Næringsselskap (SUNS), vebjorn@suns.no.
We only collect personal data that you send us yourself through the forms on this website:
Please do not include sensitive information, such as health details, in a message unless it is needed to arrange your participation in an event.
Like any website, the server that hosts it records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is used only to keep the website secure and working.
We process form submissions on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Technical information is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them for anyone else’s marketing.
We keep form submissions only as long as we need them for the purpose they were sent for. Event registrations are deleted when the event and its follow-up are complete. Enquiries are deleted when they have been answered and any follow-up has ended. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Form submissions are stored in the website’s database and sent by email to AIV’s project management. Only the people who handle events and enquiries for the network have access to them.
The companies that host and maintain the website may have technical access to the data, but only process it on our behalf and not for their own purposes. We do not transfer your personal data outside the EU/EEA.
The website sets one cookie, pll_language, which remembers whether you chose English or Norwegian. It contains nothing else and expires after one year. It is needed for the language choice to work, so it does not require consent.
We use no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and the website does not load content, fonts or scripts from third-party services that could track you.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email vebjorn@suns.no. We will answer within 30 days.
If you believe we process your personal data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
We will update this policy if the website starts collecting other data or using it in new ways. The date of the latest change is shown on this page.
